Cork College of FET, through its various Campuses and Centres, delivers a wide range of full-time courses. These courses, generally at Levels 4, 5 or 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) prepare participants for entry into the world of work, through the acquisition of the skills, competencies and knowledge identified with business and industry partners, or for progression to further studies, either within the Cork College of FET or in Higher Education Institutions, in Ireland or abroad.
Level 5 & 6 Courses
These course are suitable for learners across a wide range of categories, including school leavers, mature learners, or career changers. Set at Levels 5 and 6 on the NFQ, courses are normally of one year’s duration, and lead to a full Major Award.
Eligible participants can avail of funding supports through the Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI), or the Vocational Training Opportunities schemes, or they may be eligible for a training allowance.
Youthreach
Youthreach is an education and training programme for young people aged 15 to 20 years, who would benefit from alternative to that provided in a post primary education setting. The Youthreach programme focuses on developing the learners academic, vocational, and social skills, with learners to gaining certification at Levels 3 and 4. The programme fosters and supports learners transfer and progression to further education, training, and employment.
